Hey, I am Gabi

I’m a wife to my best friend and a mom to two incredible kids who keep life beautifully chaotic. I’m a romantic at heart and believe in the magic of everyday moments—the kind you can’t plan but cherish forever. I see beauty in everything and everyone, and I love finding ways to celebrate that.

Late spring is my favourite season, when the world bursts into bloom, you’ll often find me outside, soaking in the sunshine and flowers. I’m a black coffee kind of person, Italian food is my love language, and traveling is my greatest joy. My family and I love taking road trips, exploring new places, and camping under the stars. Those adventures truly fuel my soul.

These days, life is all about balancing family, work, and the little joys that make it all worthwhile—like baking cookies with my kids, spontaneous dance parties in the living room, and also those good quiet moments after bedtime. I was born and raised in the Czech Republic, surrounded by a big, loving family. We traveled a lot when I was a kid, and my dad always brought his film camera along. When he got a new one, I inherited the old one—and pretty much never put it down. I was that friend who always had a camera in hand, documenting school trips and everyday moments.

I studied Aesthetics at Masaryk University and dabbled in photography with portraits of my friends. I met Huy, fell in love and we both dropped out of school to move to Ireland together.

Eventually, we came back to Prague, got married, and it was the day after our wedding when I just knew—I wanted to be a photographer of love. I had never been more sure of anything in my life.

Soon after the wedding we set off for a working holidays in New Zealand, traveled and applied for a working holidays in Canada.

And just like that, we found ourselves in Squamish. I still remember waking up after a super rainy day before, seeing the snow-capped mountains, and a feeling in my heart - this feels like home.

Motherhood changed everything for me. It made me realize just how quickly the little moments slip by—and how much they deserve to be remembered. How mothers deserve to be celebrated. How everyone is beautiful, no matter how they look.

Maybe it’s the way I see the world—that makes me love photographing it all: from motherhood and families to weddings, branding, and product photography.
